| The formation of a sustainable society is a primary concern faced in 21st century. The environment, energy and population will play critical roles if such a society will be achieved. The ocean will be very important as water covers about 70% of the surface area of theearth. In this sub-session, research topics in marine botany, particularly those related with earth environments, energy, population, and future possibility of the ocean for sustainable society will be discussed. |
