| Production of high quality fish depends on right knowledge of nutrition and feeding of aquatic animals. Development of high quality aquafeeds is critical, because feeds cost may contribute to more than 50% of total cost of aquaculture production. Environmental concerns associated with production of fishmeal & oil have caused the pressure to the aquaculture industry. Further, development of aquifer that promotes better fish health has been a key research topic. Development of more efficient and high quality aquafeeds for sustainable aquaculture is necessary. This sub-session focuses on the recent progress of aquatic animal nutrition and feed development for sustainable aquaculture. |
