| 2-4. Grow-out management |
| Grow-out stage of aquaculture production is one of the most important parts of a successful aquaculture operation. To be successful, however, grow-out facilities must adequately address environmental issues such as wastewater discharge. Techniques such as recirculating systems have been developed to address environmental and other aquaculture issues, but implementation problems still remain. New approaches such as self-feeding system, a new technology in cage culture systems and other technologies have been developed to address production issues. This sub-session deals with the grow-out technology in aquaculture practice, particularly focusing on the re-circulating system, self-feeding system, cage culture techniques, and other similar systems. |
