| 1f. Stock assessment methods: status and recent innovations |
| This session will explore the status and recent innovations used for fish stock assessment in the World's key fisheries. This session will emphasize three elements: 1) new techniques and approaches for stock assessment from a wide range of fisheries; 2) overarching papers that integrate multiple stock assessment approaches for development of common understanding; and 3) invited observations that highlight stock assessment approaches and distinctions. Invited and contributed presentations from stock assessment programs will be used to focus the discussion of new techniques in stock assessment. |
