Abstract must be submitted electronically via the website.
Please fill in the "Abstract Submission Form" at the bottom of this page and upload your abstract according to the instructions. Submission by e-mail, fax or postal mail will not be accepted.
 Deadline
February 29, 2008  April 10, 2008
The presenters must complete their registration before abstract submission. The deadline for Early Bird Registration is also April 10, 2008.
Acceptance will be notified by e-mail by the end of April, 2008.
Due to the extension of the deadline for Submission of Abstracts, the acceptance notification will be delayed until the middle of May, 2008. Notification will be done by e-mail. Please note that acceptance may be canceled if the payment of the registration fee is not confirmed by the end of May, 2008.
 For Your Information
1. In the Abstract Submission Form, please specify the preferred session and subsession for your presentation up to a second choice. However, the Program Committee reserves the right of the final decision.
2. Authors are requested to state their preference for an oral or poster presentation when submitting the abstract. However, the Program Committee reserves the right to change from an oral to a poster presentation depending on the availability of slots in a particular session.
3. One author may submit only one abstract as a presenting author.
4. All abstracts should be submitted electronically via the website in English.
5. The limit of the presentation title is 35 words.
6. The abstract must be concise and shorter than 200 words.
7. Tables and figures should not be included in the abstract.
8. All abstracts will be included in the Program & Abstract Book for circulation during the Congress.
9. Submitted abstracts will be neither edited nor proof-read before printing. Therefore, authors are responsible for the clarity and accuracy of the information presented in their abstract.

 Memorial Book and Proceedings
A memorial book titled "Fisheries for Global Welfare and Environment" will be published by Terra Scientific Publishing Company (Tokyo) and will be a compilation of the papers presented by the plenary speakers and invited keynote speakers. In addition to the memorial book, the publication of the proceedings of the congress is now in planning. The proceedings will be a compilation of papers from oral and poster presentations but will not be peer-reviewed. Further information on the publication of the proceedings will be posted on the 5th WFC website.
